Cleaning your vaporizer is a key task that promotes its longevity and maintains vapor quality. See how to clean your vaporizer for dry and oils.
The increase in popularity of vaporizers, especially in the context of medical aspects, is clearly noticeable. Doctors indicate vaporizers As a safer alternative to taking dried marijuana. This is associated with a reduction in smoking, and therefore also a reduction in exposure to toxins and tar that can irritate the airways and lungs.
Vaporization allows the dry herb to be heated to a temperature where the active ingredients (e.g. cannabinoids and terpenes) are released, but without a combustion process. As a result, the user inhales vapor rather than smoke, reducing the risk of negative effects on the respiratory system. We wrote about this topic in the publication "Vaporizer for cannabis dried CBD and THC - some tips for beginners".
Cleaning the vaporizer for drying
Dry vaporization is the process of heating the dried plant, which involves placing it in a special chamber. The plant particles and sediment can lodge in the heating space and in other parts of the vaporizer that come into contact with the vapor. Worth clean the device so that it does not fail.
Accessories and preparations that you will need To clean the various parts are: isopropyl alcohol 90% (available at pharmacies or electronics stores), cotton buds, cotton balls and water.
Cleaning the vaporizer starts with disassembling all parts of the device. The following should be dealt with first cleaning the heating chamber. Use a stick to remove all particles and dust from the hemp, and then using another stick or a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol, wipe the entire inside of the chamber. This allows dissolve oily and often burnt deposits, which accumulate in the device. For large dirt that stubbornly does not want to come off, you can soak this part of the device in a bowl of alcohol (check beforehand whether the part can be immersed in liquid).
After using alcohol, it is very important to rinse the chamber in running water. This is how you proceed with every component that comes into contact with the vapor. After that, dry the washed components and after making sure they are dry, you can assemble the vaporizer.
Cleaning the vaporizer for CBD oils
Those who do not use dried but want to benefit from the effects of CBD can choose oil vaporizers. Disposable devices require no maintenance, but reusable ones need to be maintained properly.
The cleaning procedure is very similar to that for dry vaporizers. Isopropyl alcohol, cleaners and water are the basis for keeping the device in good condition. However, it is worth noting that oils leave a harder residue, which requires more thorough cleaning procedures, including the use of heat, such as an ordinary hair dryer or a warm water bath (it is important to check whether the part can come into contact with water). Whichever method you choose, it is advisable to be cautious and not overheat the parts, especially plastic parts, which could be damaged by excessive heat.
We finish cleaning the vaporizer for CBD oils the same way - we dry all the parts and give them time to dry the nooks and crannies, then we can assemble the vaporizer for reuse.
Regular cleaning of the vaporizer
The vaporizer for dry or oils is an electronic device. Neglecting to maintain it properly can result in failures such as shortened life of heating elements, leaks and deterioration of steam quality. In this case, it is also worth remembering to replace parts that wear out, such as strainers, gaskets or filters.
What inconveniences can occur when you do not conduct regular cleaning of the vaporizer: deterioration of flavor and aroma, restriction of air flow or leakage of viscous and dirty clothes oils.
