Echinacea, or echinacea, is a plant whose healing properties were discovered by the Indians. Currently, the effects of echinacea (especially purple echinacea) are appreciated not only by supporters of natural medicine, but also by some scientists. Research shows that echinacea strengthens immunity , is a proven remedy for colds and relieves acne symptoms.

Echinacea contains, among others: flavonoids in free form , essential oil, glycosides, alkylamines and alkylamides; its root contains, among others: chlorogenic acid, inulin, glycoproteins, cynarin and amine compounds. Thanks to them, the plant extract stimulates the secretion of gastric and intestinal juices, stimulates the regenerative process and has an antipyretic effect. Active ingredients contained in echinacea accelerate metabolism and have antifungal and antispasmodic properties.

Its immune-boosting effect is confirmed by scientists from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy, whose research results were published in 2007 in "The Lancet Infectious Diseases". They argue that preventive intake of echinacea products reduces the risk of developing colds by 35 to 58 percent.
