Eucalyptus is an exotic tree with several hundred species, native to Australia and its surroundings. It is from them that essential oil is obtained, the taste of which we know perfectly well from medicinal throat candies.

The soothing aroma of eucalyptus has a positive effect on the nervous system , relieves stress and tension and facilitates falling asleep.

Due to its properties, eucalyptus leaves are used in the pharmaceutical industry to produce various types of ointments with expectorant properties and to improve the patency of our respiratory tract. It is perfect for treating colds, thanks to its high content of natural essential oils.

Eucalyptus leaves are also rich in tannins (e.g. tannin), sesquiterpenes and flavonoids . Thanks to the content of monoterpenes and tannins, eucalyptus has antiviral , antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties .
