Reishi - holistic support for health
Reishi - a fungus with versatile properties
Reishi, also known as Ganoderma lucidum or lacquerwort, is an adaptogenic mushroom with a unique spectrum of activity. Rich in polysaccharides, triterpenes and ganoderic acids [1], Reishi exhibits strong antioxidant properties and the ability to capture free radicals. As a result, it supports the body in the fight against the negative effects of oxidative stress and has a vitalizing effect [2].
Properties of the Reishi mushroom
Reishi has a wide range of health applications. It helps maintain normal metabolism and supports the cardiovascular system [3, 4, 5]. Due to its high content of polysaccharides, this mushroom has a positive effect on strengthening the immune system [6]. Reishi is also beneficial for the nervous system [7] and mental balance, helping to reduce stress and improve sleep quality [8]. In addition, as an adaptogen, it is especially recommended for women, supporting their bodies to cope with daily challenges [9].
Side effects and contraindications
Before you decide to take Reishi mushroom supplementation, it is a good idea to consult your doctor. Side effects are rare, and most often involve the digestive system, where the body may feel slight difficulty digesting this mushroom, especially at the beginning of use.
Reishi mushroom reviews
Reishi reviews are mostly positive. Users especially appreciate its health and vitality-supporting effects. In Poland, research into the effectiveness of Reishi is being conducted by Professor Bożena Muszyńska, considered an authority on mushrooms, with whom we have the pleasure of working.
Reishi in natural medicine
Reishi is native to Asia, where it has been used in Far Eastern medicine for centuries. The region's inhabitants considered it the "divine mushroom of immortality." [10], also calling it the "king of mushrooms" or the "elixir of life" [2].
