From crop to dried - how many grams of dried marijuana can be harvested from a single bush? - Cannabinoids

From crop to dried - how many grams of dried marijuana can be harvested from one bush?

When asked, How many grams of dried marijuana can be harvested from one bush There is no definite answer, but we will present selected variables that can affect the yield of marijuana and the final amount of dried product from a given plant. It is important to remember that the way it is grown and the conditions that will be provided to it are not the only factors that affect the final quantity of product.

The goal of every cannabis grower is to ensure maximum growth conditions, which will simultaneously bring maximization of the crop, i.e., increasing the amount of dried From a single plant. The best conditions for growing marijuana are those that take into account all the factors necessary for the development of the bush. Moreover, there are many recommendations for specific plant species.

Good conditions translate into efficiency of marijuana cultivation

Growing marijuana is similar to many other crops - a lot depends on the variety of the plant (for example, autoflowering varieties tend to produce smaller buds compared to photoperiodic varieties), but also on the care of the cultivation itself. By care in marijuana breeding we mean the quality of fertilizers used, ways of providing light, the ideal amount of water, CO2 concentrations, pruning of the marijuana bush or so-called training, which, if conducted in the right way, can produce rich harvests. Fortunately, marijuana is not a capricious plant and with the correction of certain factors we can increase its yield even twice.

In controlled cultivation, growers use a variety of calculation methods to help plan harvest efficiency. In amateur crops, it's more about predicting the future and learning by trial and error. The indicative effect, on the other hand, will depend on the commitment of the grower.

The specific weight of the crop can vary from bush to bush. We can assume that a single plant can produce an average of about 1,000 grams of wet buds, which translates into about 180 grams of dried.

Indoor marijuana or outdoor marijuana?

Growing location is another of the variables that, combined with the previously mentioned factors, affects the yield of marijuana. Indoor growing bushes are less effective, while outdoor marijuana allows for a higher yield.

This is due to exposure to light and suitable conditions for the growth of the root system - plants in outdoor production are able to root robustly, which promotes the extraction of nutrients from the soil and their upward growth. During vigorous growth, they are able to produce a greater number of buds.

How many grams of marijuana can be harvested from one bush?

In closed breeding, you have to reckon with the following. The yield per bush can be between 50 and 250 grams of dried fruit, in outdoor production, a marijuana harvest can yield between 100 grams and 350 grams of dried product.

It is worth remembering that these are approximate values and, as we mentioned earlier, it is difficult to calculate the final result taking into account all the variables.
